Once the customer has picked out the location and owns the land or is ready to make an offer, a General Contractor (GC) or lead person for managing the project should be identified. If the home is not already designed, the GC can help you find an architect/home design or we can put you in contact with one of our architect partners.
The customer (you) obtains a construction set of drawings from an architect or from an on-line source with a known address of where the home is going to be built. We then confirm the plans are approved for the home location, and that you are happy with the layout. Then, we quote you a price for our services.
Once the scope of work has been decided on, the finalized sales agreement is drawn up by us. We both sign it and request a down payment to secure you a spot in our pipeline.
When the time comes to start construction on your home frame, we collect the materials payment from you and order all materials to our shop.
Utilizing Higher Purpose Homes custom technology, we build your home frame in panels and label the panels. We then ship them on site in weather proof wrapping.
A crane or similar lifting device is brought on-site to move the panels into place. We usually run a crew of 3 humans to erect the home frame in a very short amount of time.
Once the home frame is complete, we collect our final payment. Then the GC or project manager would have the sub contractors scheduled to come in and “finish” the home.
By using Higher Purpose Homes you are helping your community by providing jobs, and helping yourself by purchasing a high quality frame for you home built year round, indoors, saving valuable money and time.
